About Him
Writer, Political, Creative, Nerd, Christian. Those are the starting words I'd use to describe myself. I'm extroverted, love puns, and am passionate about writing. I'm a political person (not for a particular party or anything, just causes and ideas etc, for example I'm a big proponent of comprehensive voting reform in the UK), and trying to be a better Christian always. If you want to know more, I'd love to hear from you.
I think my friends would say that I'm gregarious and good company. I like to have conversations that vary between the deep and serious to the fun and lighthearted. I always enjoy looking to know more about all kinds of subjects.
My outlook on life is one of trying to contribute something of value to the wider world in whatever way possible.
My Christian life is one of constant restarting, not because I'm always failing, but because I know that God is always forgiving and that it's a bad idea to fall into routine. I'm currently between churches, looking for a community that feels like home, but is challenging enough to make me grow.

I've been friends with Michael since 2007, when we met at university, and over the course of the years, he's rapidly become one of my favourite people in the world. Firstly, Michael is one of the genuinely kindest people I've ever met; he's very caring about his friends and is always there when you need help or support, or just to talk about anything that's going on in your life. He's also one of those rare people who is genuinely interested in what others have to say and curious, rather than combative, about personal differences - in that way as in others, I think he really embodies what a Christian should be.
Michael is an endlessly sociable, cheerful person who can talk about almost anything in the world - he has a very broad range of interests and is always happy to learn or read more about any topic. (His love of airships, especially, is legendary!) He's also one of the most creative people I've ever met and never seems to run out of ideas for stories or podcast or other projects, which I think is a really fun and enviable quality. With Michael around, things are never boring.
In short, Michael is just a really nice, smart, interesting, lovely human being. I would wholeheartedly recommend getting to know him!
